Welcome to Camp Watitoh!! A place where campers ages 7-15 spend their summers doing land and water sports, adventure, and creative arts. Camp Watitoh is an overnight co-ed camp located in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, 2 hours from Boston and 3 hours from NYC. Staff come from all over the country to work with our campers and build their own resumes by coaching sports and teaching activities and life skills. We provide an environment that enables campers and staff to experience the rewards and challenges of acquiring new skills and exploring new areas of interest all while having fun. Being a staff member at our camp is the best summer job you can find!
Nature/Science Specialist:
Work with a team of outdoor enthusiasts at Camp Watitoh teaching campers all about High and Low Ropes, Camping, Nature, and Science! Help supervise, teach and encourage our campers on the rock climbing wall, challenge race course, Giant Swing and on our Zip Line!
The Nature and Science Counselor oversees the program. He or she is responsible for lesson plans that reflect these topics and there is a lot of room for creativity and new ideas. Last year, some of the projects were: solar cars and ovens, gardening, studying kinetic energy, separating iron from cheerios, and an egg drop contest.
Salary, housing, meals, a travel stipend and internship credits (if needed) are all included!

Camp Watitoh is hiring for summer 2024!
Camp Watitoh is a seven-week traditional co-ed summer camp, located in the Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts. Our campers’ ages range from 7 to 15 years old. We attract staff from all over the United States and Canada and enjoy a nice population from abroad. Some of our International staff come from, but are not limited to, England, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Eastern Europe. It is no surprise that many of our Watitoh staff return year after year and many have been campers themselves.

Camp Watitoh is ideally located in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts in the town of Becket. The Berkshires is a major vacation destination for many northeasterners and is full of cultural experiences, outdoor activity, and quaint towns to enjoy. We are three hours north of New York City, two hours west of greater Boston and approximately an hour from Albany International Airport and Bradley International Airport, serving the Hartford, CT/Springfield, MA area.
