About Timber Lake Camp

Timber Lake Camp is located on a mountaintop surrounded by 500 acres in the Catskill Mountains of New York, about 2.5 hours from New York City. We are a traditional co-ed camp with two private, spring-fed lakes and an exceptional range of facilities on beautifully landscaped grounds. TLC is one of the most respected and spirited resident camps in the Northeast of the United States.

Our objective is to educate children how to make and maintain friends while also developing their self-esteem, confidence, and resilience. The Timber Lake experience is designed to provide campers with the "edge" they need to excel in all aspects of their development as young adults and beyond. We have established a program on a foundation of safe and fun play in order to foster the kinds of growth that give every child the edge they need to reach their full potential. What we start at Timber Lake sticks with our campers for the rest of their lives.

International Campers

For over 6 decades, Timber Lake Camp in New York has had been a home away from home for hundreds of International campers. We work with each family to help them with anything from filling out camp papers to coordinating special transportation arrangements for the International camper. We also make specific arrangements for camper-to-parent phone calls owing to distance and time differences. At Timber Lake Camp, we go above and beyond to ensure that ALL of our campers have a successful and comfortable transition!
