Camp Pemigewassett (Pemi) is a premier all-boys overnight summer camp located on the private, shores of Lower Baker Pond in Wentworth, New Hampshire. Since 1908, Pemi has helped boys ages 8-15 become self-reliant, caring, and engaged citizens. By balancing strong instruction with freedom to explore, Pemi offers a transformative ‘home-away-from-home’ in the White Mountains.

The Pemi Program

Pemi provides professional-level instruction in allowing boys to master familiar skills or discover new passions:

Sports: Whether it’s soccer, basketball, or archery, the focus of Pemi’s athletic program is on sportsmanship and technical growth.
Water Sports: As the sole residents of our lake, Pemi offers a safe, private waterfront free from public boat traffic. Our program includes Red Cross swim instruction, sailing, and a slalom course for waterskiing and wakeboarding.
Nature: Begun in 1925, our program features an extensive Nature Lodge and expert-led clinics in geology, biology, and environmental stewardship.
Creative Arts: From the dedicated Woodshop to creative arts studio and a robust music and drama program, boys are encouraged to express themselves through performance and craft.
Hiking & Canoeing: Capitalizing on our location at the edge of the White Mountains, Pemi offers a progressive trip program. Younger boys enjoy overnights at our Adirondack shelter on Pemi Hill, while older campers tackle day hikes and canoe trips. All trips are led by staff certified in Wilderness First Aid.

Intentional Community & Traditions

At Pemi, boys live in small, inclusive cabin groups of 6–10 campers, guided by two mature counselors. This structure fosters accountability and social intelligence. Our 100-year-old traditions instill a deep sense of belonging and community integrity.

Flexible Sessions in a Tech-Free Setting

We offer 3, 4, and 7-week sessions, along with a specialized 2-week program for campers aged 16 at Pemi West. By removing screens and technology, Pemi ensures boys are fully present to develop resilience, empathy, and lifelong friendships.
