About

Why Summer Discovery at UCLA?

UCLA is recognized worldwide for excellence in academics and athletics. It is consistently ranked as one of America’s top 25 universities and has more NCAA team championships than any other school. Famous alumni include Matt Damon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Jim Morrison. With its ideal location in suburban Los Angeles, UCLA is the perfect setting for a pre-college program.

At Summer Discovery UCLA, we help you prepare for your transition from high school to college. Our pre-college program combines academics, athletics, and activities to give high school students a great introduction to college life.

During our 32 year partnership with UCLA Summer Sessions, UCLA Anderson, UCLA Extension, and UCLA Recreation, we have provided incredible summer experiences for over 15,000 high school students.

How We Accommodate International Campers

Summer Discovery students come from 43 states and over 60 countries. Join us and create long-lasting friendships with students from all over the world this summer.

Our International Director of Admissions is dedicated to supporting international families and guiding them through the application process. Contact us today at info@summerdiscovery.com.

Our staff greets all incoming flights. We provide escorted transfers from/to the airport and assist with the departure process. Students are assigned a Residential Counselor for support during the program.

Additionally, students receive a free 45 minute one-on-one college consultations with Collegewise and also receive access to our webinar series taught by former admissions officers about "How to apply to US universities as an international student."
