No. North Shore has a no-tipping policy because the camp believes compensating staff should be its responsibility. Families can plan their summer budget without setting aside money for end-of-season gratuities or wondering how much to give.
North Shore sets aside up to $750 per counselor in performance bonuses in addition to their salaries. Families are invited to submit confidential staff evaluations during the summer. Camp leadership combines that feedback with its own observations to evaluate and reward counselors while camp is still in session, supporting attentive care throughout your child’s summer.
Tuition covers North Shore Day Camp’s regular program for your chosen session. Optional add-ons, including specialized sports instruction through Sports Academy and private swim lessons after camp, are available for an additional fee.
