Help play an integral role in providing a safe, summer camp experience for our camp community! Camp Mah-Kee-Nac is an all-boys traditional overnight camp located in beautiful Lenox, Mass. We specialize in offering high-quality programming in athletics, adventure, waterfront, and creative and media arts. Families from all over the world have sent their sons to Camp Mah-Kee-Nac since 1929. We are looking for an exceptional person for the position: Student Nurse or CNA (see qualifications below)
This position is responsible for assisting in the care and supervision of the medical center & nursing functions in our camp community. This includes but is not limited to triage, medication administration, and caring for ill and injured campers and staff. Student Nurses and CNA’s learn, function under, and are supervised by our on-camp 3 Licensed Nurses and Licensed Massachusetts Medical Doctor and Health Care Consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Triage and care for all ill or injured campers and staff
- Daily medication administration
- Immediate response to emergency situations
- Keeping clear records of med admin and camper/staff treatments
- Assist with ordering and inventorying cleaning and other supplies.
- Launder health center and camp linens when necessary
- Daytime duty and night time duty required
Qualifications:
- Current CNA, CMA, student in a Nursing program, student in a pre-med program
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
- Ability to get along well with people and be a team player
- Ability to work with limited supervision & flexibility
- Willingness to work independently and with other staff
Works in direct contact with Camp Directors, Camp Doctor, and our Medical Team
