Do you have a passion for photography, videography, and media arts, and love working with kids? Camp Mah-Kee-Nac is seeking Media Team Instructors who will teach engaging, hands-on sessions in media while also serving as a summer bunk counselor — a vital role where you’ll live in a cabin, care for campers, and be a positive role model every day.
As a Media Team Instructor & Bunk Counselor, you’ll combine the best of both worlds: teaching exciting media skills and building lifelong connections with your campers.
Media Program Responsibilities:
- Teach creative sessions in photography, videography, podcasting, broadcasting, animation, and digital projects.
- Capture camp events and activities to support camp media coverage.
- Work alongside the Creative Arts & Media team to design engaging, fun, and age-appropriate lessons.
Bunk Counselor Responsibilities:
- Live in a cabin with campers (ages 7–16) and provide daily supervision, guidance, and mentorship.
- Create a safe, supportive, and fun bunk environment where campers feel at home.
- Lead and participate in camp traditions, evening programs, and special events.
- Be a role model by bringing energy, responsibility, and care to both bunk life and camp programs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in photography, videography, or other creative media (academic, personal, or professional).
- Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring kids.
- Ability to balance program instruction with residential life responsibilities.
- Positive, flexible attitude and strong team player mindset.
