Camps Equinunk & Blue Ridge are seeking an experienced and energetic Lacrosse Coach to lead our lacrosse program for the summer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching the game, mentoring young athletes, and creating a positive and engaging camp sports environment.
The Lacrosse Coach plays a key role in developing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while helping campers grow both as players and as individuals.
Role Overview
As the Lacrosse Coach, you will plan and lead daily lacrosse instruction, organize practices and drills, and guide campers through skill development and game play. You’ll work with campers of varying ages and ability levels, creating a fun and structured program that emphasizes effort, confidence, and teamwork.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead daily lacrosse practices, drills, and instructional sessions
- Teach fundamental lacrosse skills including passing, catching, shooting, and defensive techniques
- Organize scrimmages, games, and skill-based activities
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to campers
- Assist with equipment setup, care, and organization
- Maintain a safe and organized field environment
- Serve as a positive role model on and off the field
Age Requirement
- Must be 18 years or older by the start of camp
Required Experience
- Strong lacrosse background (playing and/or coaching experience)
- Experience instructing children or teens preferred
- Ability to coach campers of varying ages and skill levels

- Solid understanding of lacrosse fundamentals and rules
- Clear communication and instructional ability

Certifications & Additional Requirements
- Coaching qualification required
- Experience coaching preferred
- Ability to meet all camp background check and staff training requirements
