Camps Equinunk & Blue Ridge are seeking an organized and dependable Dining Room Supervisor to oversee meal service and dining operations for the summer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing daily operations, and ensuring a positive dining experience for campers and staff.
The Dining Room Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating front-of-house food service and supporting smooth communication between the kitchen, counselors, and camp leadership.
Role Overview
As the Dining Room Supervisor, you will manage meal service logistics, supervise dining room staff, and help ensure meals run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. You’ll be responsible for maintaining organization, cleanliness, and positive energy in the dining hall while supporting campers and staff during meal times.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily meal service in the dining hall
- Coordinate dining room setup, service flow, and cleanup
- Supervise and support dining room staff and counselors during meals
- Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and welcoming
- Communicate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and needs
- Help manage camper seating, movement, and behavior during meals
- Support special meals, events, and dietary accommodations
- Serve as a calm, positive presence during busy meal periods
Age Requirement
- Must be 25 years or older by the start of camp
Required Experience
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or dining operations preferred
- Experience supervising staff or working in leadership roles is a plus
- Experience working with children or teens preferred
