Camp Winaukee is a private residential boys’ camp on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our program offers three, five and seven week sessions for boys ages 7-15.
Founded in 1920, Winaukee enjoys a reputation as one of the premier sports and adventure camps in America.
Winaukee has two campuses. The Mainland Camp has approximately 200 campers ages 6-12 and the Island Camp, located on a private island just off the Mainland, has approximately 150 campers ages 13-15. Winaukee’s two separate facilities offer all of our campers the intimacy of a small camp setting with the breadth and diversity of programming of a larger camp. The atmosphere at each of the two age-appropriate camps is unique. The camps are run essentially separate, and each has its own facilities, playing fields, courts, bunks, playhouses and dining halls.
How We Accommodate International Campers
Campers from all over the globe have been a part of the Winaukee family since we were founded in 1920. Last summer, we had campers and staff members from 39 different countries (including the UK, France, Italy, China, Spain, Dominican Republic, Mexico and more) call Winaukee home for the summer.
Before arriving at camp, our international families are in constant communication with one of our directors. We help our families complete the enrollment process, set up transportation arrangements, mail you a camp catalog and packing list, provide resources for 1st time sleepaway camp families and send you some cool Winaukee gear! We are always available to answer any questions you may have about camp. When your son arrives in the US, we will have a dedicated member of our staff at the airport waiting in excitement to bring him to Camp.
We contact all of our international families upon your son's arrival at camp and will be in constant communication over the summer. We provide daily newsletters and photos on our website so you can see what your son is up to and we schedule phone calls every two weeks. Emails and letters can be sent to your son daily. We are looking forward to seeing your son at Winaukee this summer!
