About Camp Eastwood
Sleepaway Camp Starts Here! Created specifically for younger campers, Camp Eastwood is an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6–10 located in Maine’s Belgrade Lakes region. Camp Eastwood offers a positive first sleepaway experience in an exciting and secure setting, with a thoughtfully designed program that builds confidence step by step.
Camp Eastwood was founded by Lauren Beckwith and Stacey Levy, who bring decades of combined experience at Camps Manitou and Somerset. As elementary educators, college athletes, and longtime camp leaders and parents, they understand what younger campers need to feel safe, inspired, and joyful.
Campers live in small cabin groups with caring counselors who provide steady guidance while encouraging independence. Daily life is structured and predictable, helping children feel comfortable as they try new activities, make friends, and take on small responsibilities. The cozy campus provides the perfect backdrop for a child’s first overnight adventure. Campers enjoy swimming, boating, sports, arts and crafts, nature activities, and group games throughout the day. The schedule balances bunk activities, free play options, and electives so campers can explore new interests while still having time to rest and connect with friends. Blending time-honored traditions with thoughtful innovation, Eastwood is designed with the whole child in mind.
With shorter 1- and 2-week sessions and close attention from experienced staff, Eastwood helps young campers build independence at their own pace. Caring for children is at the heart of everything Lauren and Stacey do, and their goal is simple: to help each camper grow in confidence, skills, and stamina while feeling supported and known.

Camp Eastwood welcomes international campers and provides thoughtful support to help them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. The camp offers guidance with travel planning, clear communication with families abroad, and a structured arrival process designed to ease the transition into camp life. Within a nurturing and inclusive community, international campers quickly build friendships and become fully involved in daily activities. The supportive cabin environment, attentive staff, and carefully designed schedule ensure that every camper feels included, encouraged, and confident throughout their stay.
