Camps Equinunk & Blue Ridge are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Photographer to join our summer media team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for photography who enjoys capturing meaningful moments and telling stories through images in a dynamic camp environment.
The Media Team Photographer plays an important role in documenting daily life at camp, preserving memories for campers and families, and supporting camp communications throughout the summer.
Role Overview
As a Media Team Photographer, you will spend your days photographing campers, activities, events, and special moments across camp. You’ll work closely with the media and leadership teams to capture high-quality images that reflect the energy, spirit, and community of camp life. In addition to photography responsibilities, you will be an active member of the camp community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Photograph daily camp activities, programs, and special events
- Capture candid moments, action shots, and group photos
- Edit and organize photos for internal use and family distribution
- Work collaboratively with the media team to meet content needs
- Maintain photography equipment and manage digital files
- Follow camp guidelines related to privacy, permissions, and content use
- Serve as a positive role model and professional presence around campers
Age Requirement
- Must be 18 years or older by the start of camp
Required Experience
- Photography experience with a strong understanding of composition and lighting
- Comfort photographing fast-paced, outdoor, and action-oriented environments
- Experience working with children or in a camp, school, or event setting preferred
Required Skills
- Proficiency with digital cameras and basic photo editing software
- Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling ability
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Clear communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability in changing outdoor conditions

- Ability to meet all camp background check and staff training requirements
