Camp Med-o-lark is seeking a highly organized, adaptable Summer Operations Manager to join our seasonal leadership team. This is a full-time seasonal position focused on keeping the many moving pieces of camp running smoothly behind the scenes.
The Summer Operations Manager does not live with campers. Instead, this role works closely with camp leadership to coordinate logistics, transportation, special events, and off-site programming throughout the summer.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate camp-wide events, special programs, and activity logistics
- Organize transportation for field trips, outings, and other off-site programs
- Manage bus schedules, departure times, and transportation details
- Communicate with camp leadership and staff to make sure events and trips are properly planned and staffed
- Help troubleshoot schedule changes, transportation issues, and other day-to-day operational needs
- Keep calendars, schedules, and logistical information organized and up to date
- Support the leadership team with additional operational projects as needed
What we’re looking for
Strong candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing several moving parts at once. This role is a good fit for someone who communicates clearly, stays calm when plans change, and enjoys solving logistical problems in a busy summer camp environment.
Prior experience in operations, event planning, transportation coordination, hospitality, education, camps, or a similar setting is helpful.
