Camp Cobbossee

Founded in 1902, Camp Cobbossee is the “home away from home” for more than 150 boys during each of our two sessions. Camp Cobbossee is located in Monmouth, Maine, 15 miles west of the capital, Augusta, and approximately one hour north of Portland. Our beachfront extends almost a mile of shoreline on magnificent Lake Cobbosseecontee, which is eleven miles long and six miles across. We also have our own private island, Spirit Island, where campers have a chance to explore. The countryside surrounding Camp Cobbossee is made up of evergreen forests and many beautiful lakes, mountains, and national parks…providing the true Maine experience!

Camp Cobbossee is one of the oldest continuously run boys camps in the country. Many of the Camp Cobbossee traditions are carried on today by the children and grandchildren of Camp Cobbossee alumni.
