For those flying, airport pickup is available from Logan Airport and Bradley Airport (we do not pick up from JFK, LGA, or Newark airports). Campers may also be picked up and dropped off at camp by parents or guardians. What age campers do you enroll in your programs? Our program is intentionally designed for athletes who have completed 4th through 9th grade, typically ranging in age from 10 to 16 years old.Do you offer tuition assistance? At Academy Camps, we believe that if a young athlete is excited to train, grow, and improve in a sport they love, they deserve the opportunity to be part of Team AC. Our camp community includes families from many different backgrounds, and each year we invest in our Tuition Assistance Program to help make that possible. If your family could benefit from financial support, please contact [email protected].Can sessions be combined? All sessions can be combined using our Bridge Weekend option to create a multi-week experience that fits your schedule. Athletes attending multiple sessions may continue training in the same sport or choose to focus on a different sport for each session. Tuition for an additional session is offered at a reduced rate of $2,000. During the Bridge Weekend, campers will spend quality time on campus with our staff and fellow AC campers and participate in an exciting day trip planned for those transition days. The Bridge Weekend is available for $500 per day.Do campers stay in cabins or dorms?Campers stay in modern, dorm-style housing rather than traditional open cabins. Each dorm room is shared by just two campers, creating a comfortable, quiet, and more personal living space. Dorm buildings are two stories high, with approximately 12–14 campers per floor. Each floor has a shared bathroom with private shower stalls that are professionally cleaned daily. Each floor is supervised by at least two Academy Camps Dorm Coaches who live on the floor and provide daily guidance, structure, and mentorship. This setup helps campers build independence while ensuring consistent adult support is always nearby. Can you handle food allergies? We understand how common — and how serious — food allergies are for many members of our community, both at camp and at home. Our dining facility is equipped to accommodate all common food allergies and offers dairy-free, gluten-free (including options for those with celiac disorder), and vegan choices at every meal. What is your technology policy? Our technology policy is simple: camp is phone and screen-free.Camp is designed to foster meaningful human interaction and participation in an active, healthy environment. One of the greatest benefits of camp is the opportunity to unplug, and this policy helps ensure that campers remain fully engaged, socially connected, and physically active throughout their experience. While we understand that electronics are an important part of daily life during the school year, we believe they are unnecessary at camp. Camp also provides an opportunity for campers to develop important life skills, such as navigating minor challenges with the support of caring adults outside of their families. Having immediate access to home through a mobile phone can sometimes prevent children from learning to advocate for themselves and confidently communicate their needs and feelings. If your child would like to bring music to camp, they may bring a basic MP3 player without video capability (such as a Campfire Player, SanDisk player, iPod Shuffle, or iPod Nano). These simple and inexpensive devices allow campers to enjoy music while still respecting our technology policy.Aside from one of these music devices, no other electronic items are permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, iPod Touches, and internet-connected smartwatches (such as an Apple Watch). What is the staff-to-camper ratio? Our staff-to-camper ratio is 1:3, ensuring close supervision and support for every athlete. All staff members also complete an intensive week of training before camp begins. Ready to Connect?
