Berkshire Trails Camp is looking for a creative, social-media-savvy Content Creator to capture camp life and turn it into engaging short-form content throughout the summer.
This role is all about storytelling with an iPhone. We’re looking for someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, knows how to spot a great moment, and can turn everyday camp experiences into fun, current Reels and other short-form social content.
Responsibilities
- Capture photo and video content around camp using an iPhone
- Plan, film, and edit short-form content for platforms such as Instagram Reels
- Follow current social media trends and adapt them appropriately for camp
- Tell stories through quick, engaging video rather than simply documenting activities
- Work with camp leadership to plan content around events, traditions, activities, and important moments
- Move throughout camp to find spontaneous content opportunities
- Adjust quickly when schedules or programming change
- Organize footage and maintain a steady flow of content throughout the summer
What we’re looking for
You do not need professional social media experience for this role. We care more about whether you understand what makes short-form content interesting, current, and scroll-stopping.
Strong candidates should have:
- A strong grasp of Reels, TikTok-style storytelling, trends, hooks, pacing, and short-form video
- Video editing experience
- Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software
- Confidence shooting polished content on an iPhone
- A creative eye and strong sense of timing
- A personality that works well with kids and the ability to make campers feel comfortable on camera
- Flexibility and the ability to change plans quickly in a busy camp environment
Personal projects, school work, social accounts, or examples of short-form videos are all welcome as work samples.
