Our Program
With more than 50 activities across sports, waterfront, adventure, arts, technology, and performing arts, Berkshire Trails gives campers plenty of room to try something new and spend more time doing what they already love.
The program is built around camper choice. Each week, campers select five classes based on their interests, then have the opportunity to choose again the following week. That means a camper can keep building a skill they love, switch things up, or discover an entirely new favorite activity as the summer goes on.

How do campers choose their activities?
Berkshire Trails uses an elective-based activity program that gives campers meaningful choice in how they spend their day. Campers select five classes each week based on their interests and can choose a new set the following week, giving them the flexibility to continue developing favorite skills or explore something completely different.
Are activities appropriate for different ages and experience levels?
Yes. Berkshire Trails serves campers from elementary school through the teen years, and activities are taught with camper age and experience in mind. Younger campers receive more guidance as they explore the program, while older campers have increasing independence and choice in building their schedules.
Does my child need experience to participate?
No. Campers are encouraged to try activities they have never done before as well as continue developing skills they already have. Specialty staff provide instruction within their activity areas so campers can participate at an appropriate level and build from there.
What kinds of activities does Berkshire Trails offer?
Berkshire Trails offers more than 50 activities across five main program areas: adventure, aquatics and waterfront, athletics, fine arts and technology, and performing arts. Options range from waterskiing, horseback riding, and rock climbing to soccer, ceramics, digital photography, STEM, dance, and musical theater.
