Camp Watitoh is a traditional, overnight, coed camp in Becket, Massachusetts. With 230 campers and approximately 100 staff, Watitoh feels more like a family than a camp. Kids participate in sports, water sports, adventure, arts, cooking, nature and science, and an array of other activities throughout the day. We are seeking Nursing Students to join our camp as Nurse Assistants this summer!
Nurses’ Aids Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in distribution of medicine under RN supervision
- Conduct health checks and lice checks (in accordance with the Center for Lice Control) when needed
- On call during large athletic events
- Eat all meals in Dining Hall so a nurse is present
- Nurse coverage during Days Off
- Assist in gathering paperwork needed for doctor visits
- Work closely with the camp doctor and nurses to ensure the well being of all campers and staff
- May be asked to attend off-site trips with campers
- Perform basic first aid care
