Summer camp photographers, videographers, and media specialists are responsible for capturing the memories and experiences of campers and staff during the summer camp season. You’ll work closely with the camp director and marketing team to create visually appealing and cohesive photo and video content for use in camp promotional materials.
Responsibilities:
- Take high-quality photographs and/or videos of campers, staff, and camp activities
- Edit and organize photos and videos for easy access and use by the camp
- Work with the camp director and marketing team to create promotional materials featuring camp photos and videos
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
Requirements:
- Strong photography and/or videography skills, including the ability to use professional equipment and software
- Experience with photo and/or video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for capturing and sharing special moments and experiences
- Must be able to pass a drug and/or background test according to camp policies and local laws
Typical Photographer and Videographer Salary
Typically, summer camp photographers and videographers can expect to make $300 – $400 a week during the summer, or around $1,400 for a typical 4-week session, and $2,100 – $3,200 for a typical 7-8 week session. Salaries depend on credentials and experience and vary from one camp organization to the next.
