Lake Bryn Mawr Camp, which was started over a century ago as a special, unique summer camp solely for girls, is more than just a location. It's a place where a camper may feel completely free to be herself, where she can try new things with "summer sisters" who will support her learning from her failures and celebrate her victories, and where the focus is on her character rather than her appearance or her achievements.
Bryn Mawr campers participate in activities including tennis, soccer, gymnastics, English riding, basketball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, dance, swimming, boating, waterskiing and arts and crafts. They challenge themselves on our ropes courses, perform in camp musicals and dance ensembles, and publish their own newspaper, The Poplar Post. We encourage our campers to learn to waterski, kayak, throw a pot, jump a three-foot crossrail, hit a fastball, serve an ace, swim, vault, dance and shine onstage. And we give them all the one-on-one attention they need to accomplish their goals.
Above all, Bryn Mawr is a place where campers are encouraged to branch out, try new things and to learn and grow in a supportive atmosphere.

Most importantly, it's a place where being yourself and supporting your sisters is at the core of everything you do.
Many campers from other countries have found a home away from home at Bryn Mawr. In order to accomplish this, we communicate with each family to help them with everything from filling out camp applications to arranging special transportation tailored to the needs of the camper. Additionally, we make specific arrangements for camper-to-parent phone calls due to the distance and time zones. At LBMC, we go above and beyond to ensure that all of our campers have a successful and easy transition.
The majority of our featured partner camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), the nation's leading authority on camp quality, safety, and operational standards. ACA accreditation means a camp has voluntarily undergone a thorough review process evaluating areas such as health care, staff screening and training, emergency preparedness, supervision, transportation, program quality, and risk management. Camps that earn ACA accreditation must meet hundreds of recognized standards designed to help promote safe, well-managed, and developmentally enriching experiences for campers. For families, ACA accreditation provides an added layer of confidence and trust when evaluating summer camp options.
