Camp Med-o-lark is seeking photographers, videographers, and drone operators to work at our one-of-a-kind arts camp for summer 2025.

We have roles to fill for (1) camp photographer and videographer to capture our summer for social media and families and/or (2) counselors teaching videography, digital photography, or black and white film photography to campers. Pay is negotiable based on role and experience. 

Med-o-lark is a coed residential creative arts camp for ages 8-16 and specializes in visual and fine arts, performing arts, circus, music, culinary, digital media, waterfront, and more! Responsibilities include teaching up to 5 one-hour classes per day of approximately 5-10 campers. Our well-equipped Digital Arts studio provides campers unlimited creativity. Below is an outline of our Filmmaking program, but we encourage you to bring your own ideas!

• Objective: Combine the art of storytelling with practical filmmaking techniques to create engaging digital narratives.
• Course Overview: Campers will explore how to craft compelling stories and bring them to life through film. The course covers storytelling fundamentals, scriptwriting, and narrative structure, while also delving into the technical aspects of filmmaking such as cinematography, directing, and editing. Campers will create interactive storytelling elements and produce short films that showcase their stories in a visual format.
• Key Skills Developed: Storytelling, scriptwriting, filmmaking, cinematography, video editing
• Tools and Software: Digital cameras, Adobe Premiere Pro, lighting and sound equipment, interactive storytelling platforms
• Final Project/Outcome: Campers will develop and produce a short film that incorporates interactive storytelling elements, which will be showcased in a final presentation.

Camp Watitoh is a seven-week traditional co-ed summer camp, located in the Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts. Our campers’ ages range from 7 to 15 years old. We attract staff from all over the United States and Canada and enjoy a nice population from abroad. Some of our International staff come from, but are not limited to, England, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Eastern Europe. It is no surprise that many of our Watitoh staff return year after year and many have been campers themselves.

Camp Bryn Mawr is one of the most prominent and well-respected all-girls summer camps in the America. We provide high-quality instruction that encourages girls to take part in the activities they enjoy while also giving them the chance to discover new things and grow as girls and young women.

More than just a place, LBMC was established over a century ago as an exclusive summer camp for girls. What Camp Counselors Do

Camp Weequahic counselors have a dual role. You live in cabins with campers and also teach or coach in one or more activity areas during the day. These areas may include athletics, aquatics, adventure, arts, STEM, outdoor living, and more.

While we look for strong teaching skills in at least one area, you may also support other programs throughout the summer. You will not be doing it alone. Program Heads train staff to lead engaging activities, while Division Heads guide counselors in creating a safe, fun, and welcoming cabin experience.

Thank you for your interest in working at Island Lake. Our staff members play the most important role in camp by creating a memorable summer for the campers and themselves. During your stay at Island Lake you will establish very special relationships with your campers and your co-workers. You will meet people that become your closest friends. Your campers will stay in touch with you throughout the years. You will become a very important person in the life of a child and you will experience a satisfaction that can’t be duplicated elsewhere.

We feel that happy counselors make happy campers. We treat our staff members the way we would want to be treated ourselves. We are not there to look over your shoulder and criticize you and the job you are doing. We are there to help you do your job to the best of your ability and we create an atmosphere that facilitates this. We empower you to do your best and become a better person from your summer experience.

In addition, we offer a higher salary and more time off than most camps. We guarantee you a period off on each regular activity day. (During your period off you are welcome to try activities outside of the area in which you teach.) We know that you will work very hard at camp and it is important that you have time to yourself. We are located less than three hours from New York City and Philadelphia as well as being close to Ithaca, Syracuse, & Binghamton. These are places that you can travel to on your days off. Your days off are 36 hours long, giving you the opportunity to travel and experience the northeastern United States.

Another advantage to working at Island Lake is that all of our children create their own schedules by choosing their activities. This means that you, as an instructor, will only have campers coming to your classes who want to be there. This allows you to teach more and worry less about children who aren’t interested in what you are teaching.
